The Michelin Guide has unveiled its Bib Gourmand selection ahead of the official release of the Michelin Guide Seoul & Busan 2026, featuring 71 restaurants that deliver high-quality cuisine at accessible prices.
This year’s list includes 51 restaurants in Seoul and 20 in Busan, with eight new additions that reflect the growing diversity of Korea’s dining scene.
In Seoul, five restaurants join the Bib Gourmand ranks.
3rd Generation Samgyetang in Seocho-dong continues a family legacy dating back to 1973, serving herbal-rich chicken soup made with more than 40 ingredients. The broth is deeply aromatic, topped with finely ground mung beans, pine nuts and mugwort paste, and made with tender young chicken.
Gosari Express, located in Shindang Central Market, champions vegetable-forward cooking under the motto “Vegetarianism in Everyday Life.” Its bracken oil-based dishes range from spicy mixed noodles to Taiwanese-style pancakes topped with sweet and tangy bracken chili sauce, showcasing the versatility of wild greens.
Sobakiri Suzu presents handcrafted soba made from Korean buckwheat using the traditional “sotoichi” method. The noodles offer a subtle grain aroma and satisfying chew, best enjoyed as chilled zaru soba alongside tempura and seasonal side dishes.
In Seochon, Andeok is known for its beef-based cold noodles and dumpling soup. Its high buckwheat-content noodles resemble Pyeongyang-style naengmyeon, delivering a delicate, clean broth flavor. Crispy stuffed chili peppers are another popular item.
Oilje stands out for focusing on a single specialty: perilla leaf seaweed soup. The clear, fragrant broth is paired with carefully prepared side dishes, creating a simple yet balanced meal in a calm, open-kitchen setting.
Busan welcomes three new Bib Gourmand selections.
Moemiljip specializes in 100 percent domestic buckwheat noodles, offering spicy bibim versions as well as sesame oil and chilled broth styles that highlight the grain’s natural aroma. Tender boiled pork complements the dishes.
Songheonjip serves charcoal-grilled tteokgalbi in a renovated two-story house with a nostalgic atmosphere. The thick, smoky patties are accompanied by rice, seasonal side dishes and soybean paste stew for a hearty meal.
Pyongyangjip focuses on North Korean-style dumplings and mung bean pancakes. Handmade dumplings filled with kimchi, glass noodles and tofu are served in a clear broth made from beef and shiitake mushrooms, while the pancakes are crisp outside and soft within.
The Bib Gourmand distinction recognizes restaurants offering excellent food at moderate prices, typically 45,000 won or less per person.
Full details of the 71 selected restaurants are available on the Michelin Guide website and app, with the official publication ceremony scheduled to take place at Signiel Busan on March 5.
