Busan’s Pier 1 will once again be transformed into a vibrant waterfront destination this June as Port Village Busan 2026 brings together local food, art, live entertainment, and harbor-side experiences along the city’s iconic port.

Running from June 4 to 21, the festival will take place every Thursday through Sunday at Busan Port Pier 1.

After drawing large crowds and long waiting lines last year, the event returns with expanded programming, a larger lineup of local brands, and new measures designed to improve the visitor experience.

During the festival, the working port space will be transformed into an open-air cultural village featuring food trucks, pop-up restaurants, live performances, photo zones, and outdoor lounge areas overlooking the water.

The combination of harbor views, local food, and evening entertainment has helped establish the event as one of Busan’s most anticipated early summer festivals.

This year’s event places a stronger focus on Busan’s local food scene.

The first round of participating food brands includes popular local restaurants and eateries such as 1 Sikdang, Gwanganmok, Myeonjak, Shunsaikubo, and Jizz.

A major highlight will be the participation of brands from Busan’s “Nopo and Hippo” project, part of the city’s Beyond B-Star initiative. The program connects long-established local businesses with newer brands to reinterpret Busan’s culinary traditions and stories for modern audiences.

Participating brands include Naeho Naengmyeon, Deokhwa Myeongran, Sinbalwon, Amisan, Oksook Palbok Tongdak, Jizz, People Works, Kor Pasta Bar, Flying Dragon, Dosi Crab, and Yakitori Haegong.

Special collaborative menu items developed with chef Kang Leo will also be unveiled during the festival.

The event will also showcase “Local Studio,” a new project operated in partnership with Naver and the Korea Federation of Small Business. Ten selected teams will launch pop-up concepts designed to highlight creative local products and business ideas.

To help visitors navigate the festival, organizers will provide digital maps linked to Kakao Map, along with information on participating brands, amenities, event programs, and recommended routes throughout the venue.

Following long entrance waits during last year’s event, organizers have introduced a limited-quantity Aqua Pass. The pass includes priority entry, a mobile gift card, and commemorative festival items.

An individual package is priced at 39,900 won and includes a 30,000 won gift card, while a two-person package is available for 64,900 won and includes a 50,000 won gift card.

In addition, special programs connected to the BTS concert in Busan on June 12 and 13 are being planned, giving visiting fans additional opportunities to explore Busan’s food, culture, and waterfront attractions.

The festival will operate from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
