Recipe: Black Bottom Cupcakes

Black bottom cupcakes make the world go-round!

Ingredients:

Cake

  • 1 ½  cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup  water
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Filling

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Combine and beat together all cake ingredients
  2. Fill cupcake papers ½ full
  3. Combine and beat together the filling ingredients
  4. Spoon 2 tbsp of filling on top of cake batter
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes

Tip: A toothpick will come out of the chocolate cake part clean when finished.
