The 2025 Saemaul Love Kimchi Sharing was held event on November 5 in the City Hall Green Square as the annual event aims to share warmth and community spirit by preparing and delivering kimchi to local residents in need.

Jointly organized by the Saemaul Geumgo Central Association and Busan Saemaul Geumgo, and hosted by the Busan Saemaul Association, the initiative uses only locally sourced Korean ingredients to promote community solidarity and agricultural sustainability.

More than 130 volunteers, including over 100 members of the Busan Saemaul Leaders Association and 30 members of the Busan Saemaul Geumgo Volunteer Group, participated in making kimchi from 4,000 heads of cabbage.

The finished kimchi will be distributed through Saemaul Women’s Associations in Busan’s 16 districts and counties to elderly residents living alone, low-income families, and youth-headed households.

The Busan Saemaul Association continues to lead a variety of volunteer and social contribution programs, including environmental cleanup, disaster recovery, and community aid projects.

Likewise, the Saemaul Geumgo Central Association and Busan Saemaul Geumgo support not only local finance but also community development and assistance for vulnerable groups.
