Starbucks is debuting a new style of iced coffee and it’s launching first in Korea, often dubbed the “land of iced Americano all year round.”

Starbucks Korea announced that it will introduce the Aerocano on the 26th, marking the first global release of the new iced Americano concept across all Starbucks markets.

The Aerocano is an iced-only beverage that infuses air into an Americano to create a layer of fine microfoam.

According to the company, the drink combines the bold, slightly bitter character of espresso with a velvety texture and lighter mouthfeel. Visually, the cascading foam is designed to resemble a flowing waterfall.

Starbucks Korea plans to add the Aerocano as a permanent menu item, expanding its iced coffee lineup beyond the traditional Iced Americano and Cold Brew offerings.

The decision to launch the product first in Korea reflects the country’s strong iced coffee culture.

Over the past three years, iced Americanos accounted for more than 70% of all Americano sales at Starbucks Korea annually.
