Seoul has announced the “2025 Taste of Seoul 100,” a curated list of the city’s top 100 restaurants selected by 60 culinary experts, including food journalists, chefs, and gastronomy researchers.

The list celebrates the diversity and creativity of Seoul’s dining scene, with more than half of the featured venues rooted in Korean cuisine.

Now in its fifth year, the “Taste of Seoul 100” goes beyond introducing popular restaurants — it maps out Seoul’s evolving food landscape, offering both locals and travelers must-visit dining experiences that capture the city’s unique flavors.

This year’s categories include Korean (28), Western (21), Asian (14), Grill (11), Plant-Based (9), Café & Dessert (10), and Bar & Pub (7), reflecting Seoul’s mix of traditional and contemporary tastes.

Gangnam accounted for the largest share (45%) of selected venues, followed by growing representation from Yongsan, Jongno, Jung, and southwestern districts such as Gangseo and Yeongdeungpo.

The full list is available from October 1 on the official Taste of Seoul website, with bilingual Korean-English guides distributed globally through tourism offices.

The announcement precedes “Taste of Seoul Week” (October 27–November 2), a citywide food festival under the theme “Seoul Pops with Taste.”

Highlights include culinary talks, pop-up collaborations, restaurant week promotions, and food tours across the city. The week will conclude with the Seoul Taste Awards on November 2 at Nodeul Island, honoring restaurants from the Top 100 list and chefs who have advanced Seoul’s gastronomic reputation.
