Busan International Food Expo Oct. 12-15

Busan International Food Expo 2017, which is hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and organized by Korea Food Service Industry Association, Busan Branch, is scheduled to be held at Hall 3 of BEXCO Exhibition Center Ⅰ for four days from Thursday, October 12 to Sunday, October 15.

This 14th Expo, held under the banner of globalization of Korean foods, features a variety of theme exhibitions, special programs, cooking contests, food street festivals, and overseas food special exhibitions on the subject of ‘Healthy food, A Feast of the Newest Tastes and Styles.’

The expo is composed of the ‘Green Food Zone’ including organic and well-being food products; the ‘Local Food Zone’ where visitors can taste regional specialties of the eight provinces of Korea and purchase them at affordable prices; and the ‘Food Materials/Devices Zone,’ which displays a wide range of food materials and cooking devices. In addition, ‘Kyushu Festival in Busan’ will also be held concurrently during the same period, to promote cultural exchanges between Korea and Japan.

The admission fee for this expo is 3,000 won, but is free if advance registration is completed at the official homepage (www.bife.kr).
