Hapcheon’s two major tourist attractions, Hapcheon Video Theme Park and Tripitaka Theme Park, will remain open without regular closures throughout the early May Children’s Day holiday period as the county moves to capture more family tourism traffic.
Both parks will operate continuously from May 4 to 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., allowing visitors additional flexibility during one of Korea’s busiest family travel weekends.
The decision comes as local tourism officials look to make Hapcheon a stronger holiday destination during Family Month by keeping key attractions fully accessible during the peak outing period.
Hapcheon Video Theme Park is also continuing its seasonal evening openings every Friday and Saturday through May. Adding to the nighttime atmosphere, live busking performances will be held each Saturday at the lawn plaza in front of the Blue House film set, offering visitors a different experience from the park’s daytime historical studio tours.
Tripitaka Theme Park will launch a separate 10-day spring family event running across weekends and holidays from May 2 through May 25. The program will include bubble shows, magic performances, and various hands-on children’s activities aimed at drawing family groups during the month.
