Korea Tourism Organization

In order to travel safely in Korea and avoid the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), 100 Untact Attractions have been announced. The concept of untact embraces the changing trends in the economy and refers to an increase of online interaction and a decrease in person-to-person interaction.

Untact attractions include Baramsae Village Picnic Garden (Pyeontaek, Gyeonggi-do), Beoryeong-ri Metasequoia Trail (Yeongdeok, Gyeongsangbuk-do), Hanbat Arboretum (Daejeon), Hwangnyeongsan Mountain (Busan), Mongchontoseong Fortress (Seoul), Gyodongdo Island (Incheon), Gosalli Forest Trail (Jeju Island) and more. There are ten attractions each in Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, Incheon, Jeju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Gyeonggi-do, as well as three each in Daegu, Sejong, Gwangju, Ulsan, Gangwon-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Chungcheongnam-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeollabuk-do, and Jeollanam-do.

Visitors will be able to travel safely in these less crowded attractions as well as have a healing experience in nature.

The 100 attractions were selected according to the following criteria; must be less known, have themed attractions for solo travelers and families alike, be outdoors, and can only accept a limited number of visitors in order to practice social distancing.
