Registration opens for 2026 Seoul Walking Festival Aug. 10

Registration opens August 10 at 10 a.m. for the 2026 Seoul Walking Festival, with 5,000 free spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The annual event will take place on September 20, giving participants the chance to walk 4.4 kilometers through car-free streets in central Seoul.
The route begins at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and continues through Ihwa Intersection, Yulgok Tunnel, and Gyeongbokgung Intersection, finishing at Gwanghwamun Square.
Open to all ages, the non-competitive walk will feature several attractions along the route, including a laser and multimedia show inside Yulgok Tunnel.
At the finish line, visitors can enjoy live performances and take part in the Traveling Seoul Fitness Center, where participants can receive a free fitness assessment and learn more about their overall health.
Participation is free, and advance registration is required through the festival website at walkseoul.com beginning August 10 at 10 a.m.
