Seoul has released a new map highlighting 23 places to watch the sunset along the Han River, including viewpoints accessible from the city’s Han River Bus service.
The “Han River Sunset Map” focuses on September and October, when clearer autumn skies can provide some of the year’s best sunset views.
It combines recommended locations with seasonal sunset times and Han River Bus schedules to help visitors plan evening trips.
Featured locations include Mangwon Hangang Park, Seonyu Bridge, Nodeul Island, Ichon Hangang Park, Yeouido Mulbit Square, Seorae Island, Jamsu Bridge, Seongsu Cloud Bridge and the area beneath Cheongdam Bridge.
The map also highlights views from the water. Passengers aboard the Han River Bus can see sunsets around major landmarks and bridges including World Cup Bridge, Mapo Bridge, the National Assembly, Dongjak Bridge, Seongsu Bridge and Cheongdam Bridge.
The recommendations are divided into four main areas covering Nanji, Mangwon and Yanghwa; Yeouido and Nodeul Island; Banpo and Sebitseom; and Seoul Forest, Ttukseom and Jamsil.
The map is available through the Han River authority’s website and social media channels, along with videos showing sunset views from the Han River Bus.
