Busan’s seven public beaches have welcomed more than 10 million visitors this summer, marking a strong increase over last year as hot weather and rising international tourism boosted seaside crowds.

According to Busan City, the beaches attracted 10.03 million visitors from their opening through August 2, up 15.5% from the same period in 2025.

The figure includes early openings at Haeundae and Songjeong beaches, which began operations on June 26, five days ahead of the official beach season.

Haeundae Beach remained the city’s busiest destination with 4.05 million visitors, followed by Gwangalli Beach with 2.97 million, Songdo Beach with 1.87 million, Dadaepo Beach with 1.1 million, and Songjeong Beach with 772,409 visitors.

Ilgwang Beach welcomed 20,600 visitors, while Imrang Beach recorded 8,100.
