The Haeundae Light Festival returns for the 2025 winter season, lighting up Haeundae Beach and Gunam-ro from November 29 to January 18.

Now in its 12th year, the festival transforms Busan’s most famous beach into a warm and dreamy winter destination filled with huge light installations, interactive media art, and nightly displays by the ocean.

This year’s theme, “Stellar Haeundae: Waves of Stars,” covers the beach in glowing sculptures and star-inspired designs, creating a fantastic winter scene you can enjoy every night.

The festival runs daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with all installations shining until 11 p.m. which is perfect for late-night strolls and cozy winter dates.

In this video, we explore the lights, the atmosphere, and why Busan continues to be one of Korea’s best winter destinations.
