To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the March 1st movement, a variety of events will take place next month at the Busan Independence Hall.

The opening ceremony of the March 1st movement commemorative event will be held at the plaza of Joonang park on March 12 at 2pm.

The ceremony will be hosted by the Busan Infrastructure Corporation and jointly organized by the Joongang park, the Busan branch of the Korea Liberation Association and the Busan Cultural Center.

The Busan City Art Troupe will also bring cultural art performances at the plaza of Joongang park every Saturday.

A special film festival called ‘Independence, singing for Hope’ will be held in the afternoon of Saturdays and Sundays in March at the Independence hall to screen independence themed domestic films for free, including “The Last Princess”, “The Age of Shadows”, “Dongju, Portrait of a Poet”, and “Assassination”.
