Busan International Rock Festival unveils first lineup for 2026 event

The 2026 Busan International Rock Festival has announced its first lineup of performers ahead of the three-day event scheduled for October 2–4 at Samnak Ecological Park.
Marking its 27th anniversary, the festival is Korea’s longest-running international rock music event and has been designated a preliminary global festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The first lineup features 23 artists and bands from Korea and overseas, led by American heavy metal giants Avenged Sevenfold.
Other headline acts include legendary Korean rock band Songgolmae, Japanese rock group Creephyp making its first appearance in Korea, returning Japanese favorites Suchmos, and shoegaze band YOMI BUNGAKU. Popular acts including CNBLUE, Australian indie rock band Spacey Jane, and Busan-based bands Band Girin and Hathaway are also set to perform.
The festival’s promotional concert series, Road to BU-ROCK, has been underway since May with events held in Busan, Taichung, and Seoul. The series will continue in Gwangju, Jeju, Ulsan, and Fukuoka, helping build anticipation while expanding cultural exchanges between cities.
Organizers also plan to strengthen the festival’s global reach through international marketing campaigns, tourism packages, and expanded multilingual services following its selection as a preliminary global festival.
Early-bird tickets went on sale June 18 through Yes24, offering three-day passes at a 20% discount. Combined ticket and shuttle bus packages are also available for visitors traveling from outside Busan.
