Busan will offer a mix of online and in-person programs during the Lunar New Year holidays, aimed at both domestic and international visitors spending the holiday period in the city.
According to the Busan Tourism Organization, several events will reference the Year of the Horse.
On February 15 and 16, Busan City Tour will offer a 50% discount to visitors born in the Year of the Horse. Busan Super, which operates stores in Busan and Seoul, will run a themed Lunar New Year event from February 14 to 22, offering small souvenirs such as keychains with purchases of 5,000 won or more. Participation in related SNS events will also be open to the public.
Traditional holiday activities will be held at multiple locations.
From February 14 to 18, Taejongdae Resort’s Danubi Square will host folk games including yutnori, jegichagi, and tuho.
Yongdusan Park will extend its “Yongdusan Village” program from February 16 to 18, with additional family-oriented activities and evening operating hours during the holiday period.
Busan Tower will offer discounted admission for visitors wearing hanbok and for those born in the Year of the Horse.
The Visit Busan tourism portal has expanded short-stay travel content in five languages to help visitors navigate the city more easily during the holiday period.
