Fun in Korea: Check out Busan Sea Festival till Aug. 13 at Dadaepo Beach

The 30th Busan Sea Festival returns to Dadaepo Beach from August 7–13, bringing seven days of fireworks, live music, beachside dining, markets, and family-friendly activities to Busan’s waterfront.
The festival kicks off on August 7 with the Dadaepo Fireworks Show, featuring a 17-minute display launched from three barges offshore beginning at 8:00 p.m.
One of the biggest attractions is Dadapocha, one of Korea’s largest beach food zones with seating for around 2,000 people. Professional food vendors will operate from August 7–9 and August 12–13, while university students will take over the venue with the Youth Pocha on August 10–11.
The Sunset Beach Club runs from August 7–9, transforming the beachfront into an open-air lounge with DJ music, tropical lighting, wellness activities, healthy food, and evening beach club entertainment.
A brand-new addition this year is Youth by the Sea on August 10–11, featuring students from 10 Busan universities. Expect campus-style food stalls, live band, dance and vocal performances, and special appearances by rappers Yang Hong-won and Han Yo-han.
Music continues throughout the week with the Dadapocha Stage on August 8–9, featuring Heize, Paul Kim, Oops, Gehtts, Band Girin, and Tokkapella. The Folk Rock Concert takes place on August 12, with performances by Jatanpung and the Kim Jang-hoon Band, while the festival concludes on August 13 with the Sea Concert, featuring youth choirs and family-friendly performances.
Visitors can also browse the Dadae Beach Market, where local vendors will sell secondhand goods, handmade products, and host upcycling workshops.
Due to the expected crowds for the opening night fireworks, Busan will limit beach attendance to approximately 35,000 people on August 7. One lane of Dadae-ro and three nearby public parking lots will close from 4:00 p.m., and visitors are encouraged to use public transportation.
