Bright yellow canola flowers are now in full bloom in Mulgeon Village, Samdong-myeon, attracting a steady flow of spring visitors.
The flower fields were created on 2.5 hectares of previously unused land near the village’s coastal forest, which was prepared and planted last autumn.
Local officials plan to expand the flower area to 4 hectares and introduce buckwheat flowers during the June garlic festival, extending the seasonal appeal.
Additional flower routes featuring cosmos, sunflowers, and buckwheat are also planned across nearby coastal and village areas, further developing the region as a spring and summer destination.
