The 8th Changseon Gosari Festival, a long-running local event in Changseon-myeon, Namhae County, will take place on April 25 and 26 at Dongdaeman Ecological Park.
The festival organizing committee confirmed the dates and venue during its recent general meeting and has begun preparations for this year’s program.
Held under the theme “Spring in Changseon, the Nation’s Rest Stop,” the event aims to bring together local residents while introducing visitors from across the country to the region’s agricultural heritage.
Changseon-myeon is widely known as one of Korea’s primary production areas for gosari (bracken fern), accounting for roughly 30% of national output.
The festival will highlight the crop’s regional significance while offering opportunities for visitors to experience local food and seasonal rural culture.
Dongdaeman Ecological Park, the event venue, features open lawns, wetland walking trails, and family-friendly recreational facilities.
Organizers selected the site again this year in part to ease parking congestion and to incorporate the park’s natural landscape into the overall festival setting.
