Changwon City will begin a five-month pilot run of its new Bammgol Yeoulmadang Children’s Theme Experience Zone inside Pallyong Park, offering free admission from May through September.
Built with an investment of 1.95 billion won, the new 1,725-square-meter facility in Hapseong-dong has been designed exclusively for children aged 4 to 12 and features a range of interactive indoor play and technology-based learning experiences.
The center is divided into two main sections: an Earth Zone and a Space Zone. The Earth Zone includes VR sports and virtual physical activity programs, while the Space Zone features trampoline areas, environmental education experiences, VR attractions, and drone simulation content aimed at combining exercise with imaginative play.
During the pilot period, all sessions will be free of charge, but entry will be limited to advance reservations only for safety reasons.
The site will operate two sessions per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with a maximum of 20 children per session. It will close every Monday and Tuesday, along with most public holidays except Children’s Day.
Changwon officials said on-site management staff will be assigned throughout the pilot phase to oversee operations and ensure child safety as the city evaluates the long-term operation of the new facility.
