Changwon Symphony Orchestra will hold its 375th regular concert on June 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Theater of Seongsan Art Hall.
The program will feature a blend of German Romanticism and modern Polish classical music, highlighted by a guest performance from acclaimed pianist Kim Tae-hyung, winner of several major international competitions including the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
The concert will open with Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 in F Major, Op. 90, one of the composer’s most lyrical and emotionally expressive orchestral works. The orchestra is expected to present its own interpretation of the piece’s balance between grandeur and introspective emotion.
In the second half, Kim Tae-hyung will perform Karol Szymanowski’s Symphony Concertante No. 4, Op. 60. Known for its fusion of symphonic and concerto styles, the work combines virtuosic piano passages with rich orchestral textures.
Admission is free and open to audiences of school age and older.
Online reservations begin at 10 a.m. on May 27 through the Changwon Performing Arts Company website.
