Gyeongnam province has announced 18 travel destinations for families to enjoy during the upcoming Chuseok holiday, highlighting amusement, healing, cultural, and festival attractions throughout the province.
Amusement & Scenic Experiences
Masan Robot Land (Changwon) Korea’s first robot-themed park, combining exhibitions, research, and amusement rides. Visitors can explore cutting-edge robotics alongside family-friendly attractions.
Tongyeong Cable Car (Tongyeong) Runs up Mireuksan Mountain with panoramic views of Hallyeohaesang National Park. Pets ride free. Linked discount with Dongpirang Village offers 50% savings when both sites are visited.
Geoje Panorama Cable Car (Geoje) Provides 360-degree views of Mt. Nojasan and Dadohae. Ten “Crystal Cabins” have glass floors for a dramatic aerial stroll. Sunset views are especially popular.

Upo Wetland (Changnyeong) The largest inland wetland in Korea, home to 800 plant species and 200 bird species. Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve core area in 2024.
Hwarimdong Valley Scholar Culture Trail (Hamyang) A historic valley with pavilions, ponds, and streams once frequented by scholars. Known as “Paldampaljeong,” it offers cultural walks with scenic views.
Geochang Healing Land (Geochang) Located near Udusan Mountain, it features Korea’s first Y-shaped suspension bridge, forest trails, and healing programs. Nearby Gajo Hot Springs and cosmos fields enhance the visit.

Jinju Namgang Lantern Festival (Jinju) – Oct. 4 to 19 Seventy thousand lanterns, drone shows, fireworks, and cultural performances illuminate the Namgang River and Jinjuseong Fortress.
Goseong Dinosaur World Expo (Goseong) – Oct. 1 to Nov. 9 Held at Danghangpo Tourist Complex, this year’s theme is “Dance with Dinosaurs.” Features include drone shows, fireworks, and family-friendly exhibits.
