The cosmos flowers along Jinju’s old railroad walkway are now in full bloom, transforming the former train tracks between the Jinju Railway Culture Park and the Knowledge Industry Center into a vibrant autumn attraction.

The 430-meter path, built on the historic Jinju Station platform and tracks, connects to the existing “Street of Hope,” forming a 1.4-kilometer pedestrian route filled with seasonal flowers across 12,250 square meters.

Cosmos seeds planted in July have flourished despite the summer’s extreme weather, adding bursts of color and life to the area.

The flowers will remain at their peak through early November, after which the city plans to plant canola to create a spring flower path next year.

The project is part of Jinju’s broader effort to rejuvenate the old station site into a cultural hub, including plans for a new National Jinju Museum, an aerospace science museum, and a citizens’ plaza surrounded by urban green space.
