Busan has launched the country’s largest coastal cruise vessel, marking a new chapter for local marine tourism.

PanStar Group announced on the 4th that its new cruise ship Grace has officially begun commercial operations. At 83.5 meters long, 20.2 meters wide, and 2,582 tons, the vessel is the largest of its kind among domestic coastal cruise ships. Most existing coastal vessels fall in the 200–800-ton range.

Built in 2020 by Australia’s Austal shipyard, the Grace is a high-speed ship designed for stability and comfort.

A ride-control system and underwater foils reduce motion during travel, allowing passengers to move freely inside without seatbelts.

The ship also supports wheelchair and stroller access, and is equipped with advanced night-vision technology for safe evening operations.

PanStar Group will operate several themed programs departing from Busan Port’s coastal passenger terminal, including the “Busan-East Coast Cruise” touring landmarks such as Oryukdo, a “Sunset Dinner Cruise” featuring evening views and onboard dining, and a “Fireworks Cruise” offering nighttime scenery paired with a fireworks show.

The Busan-East Coast Cruise will offer a pre-order “Busan Gourmet Set” for first-class and business passengers, featuring local favorites like pork rice soup, grilled eel, tteokbokki, fish cake, and seed hotteok.

The dinner and fireworks cruises will include a semi-buffet for all passengers.
