Gimhae City has begun full-scale operation of its “Daeseongdong Tombs Night Walk” program, a series of evening experiences designed around the UNESCO-listed Daeseongdong Tombs.
Selected for a second consecutive year as part of a national heritage initiative, the program is structured to highlight the site’s historical significance through immersive, multi-sensory activities.
With a total budget of 78 million won, the project is expected to attract around 1,000 participants across three themed programs running from April through October.
The first program, “Starry Night at Aeguji Hill,” combines guided tours led by museum curators with meditation and eco-friendly hands-on activities. The site, historically linked to the birthplace legend of King Suro, will host sessions on five dates between April and October.
A second program, “Daeseong Mystery Investigation Team,” takes a more interactive approach. Participants work in teams to complete missions across the tomb complex and museum grounds, learning about excavated artifacts and the site’s heritage through game-style exploration. This program is scheduled for five sessions from June to October.
The third program, “Sunset Concert at Daeseongdong,” pairs live performances with the backdrop of the tombs at dusk. The lineup includes jazz, classical, and tango performances across three dates in late summer and autumn.
All programs are free to attend and open to the public. Detailed schedules and registration information are expected to be released through the Inje University Museum website, which oversees program operations.
