Seoul’s iconic Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) has opened its entire 652-meter rooftop for the DDP Rooftop Tour, offering a new way to experience the city’s skyline through design, history, and architecture.

The Seoul Design Foundation announced that from November 7 to 23, visitors could explore the DDP’s curved rooftop under the theme “Seoul Drifting”. The expanded route connects four themed sections—Design, History, Panorama, and Future—each offering guided storytelling about Seoul’s transformation from past to present.

The tour, which received 94% satisfaction during its spring pilot, goes beyond simple sightseeing. Participants can view landmarks such as Namsan, Euljiro, and Heunginjimun while learning how DDP’s architecture bridges heritage and innovation.

Adding a creative twist, participants wear exclusive tour outfits designed by fashion brand KANGHYUK, known for its upcycled materials and futuristic aesthetic. The teal and pink uniforms turn each walk into a visual experience of “wearing Seoul.”

Tickets are 38,000 won for the standard tour and 70,000 won for special sessions, including themed experiences like a sunset drawing class, photography workshop, and a one-day wedding proposal event against the Seoul skyline.

Each participant receives a random goods box at the end, adding a collectible surprise to the experience.

Advance reservations are available through the DDP website (www.ddp.or.kr), with a 30% discount offered for bookings made between November 3 and 6.
