A new digital-themed playground is set to be developed at Sangjokam County Park in Goseong, a site known for its well-preserved dinosaur footprints.
The project is part of a wider regional tourism initiative aimed at expanding stay-based travel in the southern region.
Backed by a budget of 14.6 billion won, the plan includes the construction of an indoor “five-senses” dinosaur experience center and an outdoor adventure zone featuring volcano-themed play areas, AR-based observation points, and rest spaces.
Additional upgrades such as illuminated coastal trails and nighttime attractions are also planned, with completion targeted for late 2027.
Officials expect the project to strengthen the site’s appeal for families while contributing to broader efforts to position the southern region as a major tourism hub through long-term infrastructure and content development.
