Don't miss tulip festivals in Korea this spring

April is time for early season tulips around the peninsula and there are two great festivals that you won’t want to miss.

The Shinan Tulip Festival in Shinan-gu, Jeollanam-do takes place April 12th through the 21st at Shinan Tulip Park and is the largest tulip festival in the country. Featuring over 3,000,000 tulips, the region was selected as the best place in the country to grow the flower. The event is free and open to people of all ages.

The Taean Tulip Festival in Taeun-gun, Chungcheongnam-do at the Taean World Tulip Summit sees a host of tulips as well as daffodils and lilies set amongst some world-famous landmarks, including a windmill from the Netherlands, an Egyptian pyramid and a replica Eiffel Tower amongst others.

The event runs from April 13th through May 12th and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. to people of all ages.

Admission is 12,000 won for adults and 9,000 won for students.
