A special literary performance program, Voices of the Masters, will be held in collaboration with the Busan Museum and the Liquid Arts Network, which is marking its 25th year as an international arts community based in Busan.
The program is presented in connection with the museum’s exhibition Writers Revealed: 500 Years of Literature and Art from Shakespeare and will feature live readings, poetry, and musical performances that reinterpret both classic and modern works of English literature on stage.
An international lineup of performers will present selections from authors including Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, George Orwell, Sylvia Plath, Zadie Smith, Seamus Heaney, Rudyard Kipling, and Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
More than a single performance event, Voices of the Masters also reflects the long-running role of the Liquid Arts Network in Busan’s cultural scene, where it has helped build connections between Korean and international communities through literature and the arts over the past 25 years. The collaboration with the Busan Museum underscores how grassroots arts groups continue to play a meaningful part in the city’s evolving cultural landscape.
The event will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2026, at the Busan Museum Auditorium, with exhibition viewing to follow. Attendance is open to foreign residents, English speakers, students, and anyone interested in literature, culture, and live performance.
