Five things to put on your end of summer Busan bucket list

The summer days are drawing to an end, Daiso has launched its Autumnal range and it feels almost time to dig out your winter coat. But don’t act too fast, if you follow the astronomical calendar (who doesn’t?) then summer isn’t technically over until the September equinox, which this year falls on September 23rd.

So in the spirit of making the most of every summer day, here’s a handy end of summer Busan bucket list.

From nature excursions to chilled-out rooftop bars and cafés, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. What are you waiting for?

Chill out in nature in one of Busan’s stunning valleys

When the humidity hits, don’t stay in your apartment blasting the AC and racking up a hefty bill. Instead, use nature’s AC and cool down at one of these incredible valleys. With valleys located in Jangsan, Daecheoncheon and Beomasa there’s sure to be one within your reach.

Check out Dadaepo’s ‘Sunset Fountain of Dreams’

The title says it all, do you really want a summer that doesn’t feature a sunset fountain of dreams? Sit back, relax and enjoy all the colorful lights and water features your heart desires.

Operation times are as follows:

Fall (September-October)

Weekdays (Tue. – Fri.) 7:30 pm (20 minutes)

Weekends & Holidays 7:30pm (20 minutes), 8:30pm (20 minutes)

How to get there:

Take Metro Line No. 1 to Dadaepo Beach Station then leave by Exit No. 4

Have a picnic in an idyllic park (and cool off in the fountains while you’re at it)

While Busan’s most well-known for its beaches, its parks are just as beautiful. What better way to enjoy the last days of summer than taking a picnic to one of these relaxing spots. If you’re with kids (or a kid at heart) you can also cool off in the water play areas.
