Free kayaking places in Busan

Want to hit the waters this summer and get some free exercise?

There are four locations to experience free kayaking in Busan. The activity is organized by the Sea Explorers of Korea Busan Council to promote water sports to the public.

Kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be provided. People are advised to bring a change of clothes, toiletries, and a towel. The kayak centers are open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday. (Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)

You can register online in Korean for a free kayaking experience or register on-site.

Online registration is recommended.

 

Kayaking Information

Suyeonggang River Free Kayaking

Location: Suyeonggang River area (in front of Hyeopseong Renaissance Apartment)

Period: May to October (Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)

Program: Dragon boat, kayak

Gwangalli Free Kayaking

Location: Gwangalli Beach (in front of Hyupjin Taeyang Apartment)

Period: July 1 to August 31 (Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)

Program: Kayak

Songdo Free Kayaking

Location: Songdo Beach (Songdo Marine Sports Center)

Period: May to October (Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)

Program: Kayak, inflatable boat (over 5-seats) (facility usage fee: 5,000 won)

Samnak Free Kayaking

Location: Samnak Water Leports Center in Samnak Ecological Park (next to Samnak Auto Camping Site)

Period: May to October (Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)

Program: Kayak (facility usage fee: 3,000 won)

Notice:

Please arrive 10 minutes before your reservation.

To ride dragon boats at Suyeonggang River, over 12 people, including a helmsman must be teamed up.

There is no parking space and shower at Gwangalli and Suyeonggang River.

Riding kayaks and inflatable boats are available for anyone aged 8 and over. Children under the age of 8 should be accompanied by their parents to ride kayaks and rubber boats.

The program may be canceled due to weather conditions.
