Giant ‘Jungle King’ sculpture debuts at Geoje Botanic Garden

Visitors to the Geoje Botanic Garden can now see a towering new attraction with the installation of “Jungle King,” a giant gorilla sculpture designed to become one of the garden’s signature landmarks.

Located inside the Geoje Jungle Dome, the massive sculpture is surrounded by tropical and subtropical plants, creating the impression of a gorilla emerging from the heart of a rainforest. City officials said the installation was created to enhance the immersive atmosphere of the botanical garden and provide visitors with a memorable focal point.

The Geoje Jungle Dome, the largest glass greenhouse in Korea, has become one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. Officials hope the new sculpture will serve as a distinctive photo spot for visitors of all ages, particularly during the busy summer vacation season.

The Geoje Botanic Garden is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last admission at 5 p.m.

The garden is closed every Wednesday.
