Geoje’s Healing Forest is emerging as a popular retreat for visitors seeking rest and emotional recovery in a natural woodland setting.

According to the city of Geoje, more than 15,600 people have visited the site since it opened last May, with over 4,200 participants taking part in guided forest-therapy programs.

The space has drawn a wide range of visitors, including dementia support groups, disability-advocacy organizations, pregnant women, seniors, and family visitors, reflecting its appeal as an inclusive healing environment.

Seasonal programs have also seen strong interest. A recent year-end session titled “Forest Healing Yoga & Singing Bowl Warm-Day Program” fully booked within just three days, continuing a trend of high participation across most offerings.

Led by certified forest-therapy instructors, the programs allow participants to choose activities tailored to different needs, from seniors to families and visitors with disabilities, while spending time connecting with nature in a quiet, supportive setting.
