Geoje has rolled out its annual “Street of Light” installations across key neighborhoods, bringing year-end atmosphere and renewed energy to local shopping districts.

The Street of Light project has become a regular winter initiative, designed to create a festive mood during the holiday season while encouraging foot traffic and revitalizing local commercial areas.

This year’s illuminated zones include the M-Park Street–Gohyeon Market area in Gohyeon-dong, the Kookmin Bank–Suhyup section in Okpo-dong, the Dumo Intersection–Geoje Arts Center stretch in Jangseungpo-dong, and the intercity bus terminal area in Neungpo-dong.

The displays will remain in place until the end of February next year.

Symbolic light gates, colorful LED installations, snowflake motifs, and illuminated Christmas trees line the streets, transforming familiar roads into bright nighttime landscapes that invite residents and visitors to slow down and take in the winter scenery.
