Spring is arriving across Gimhae, with warmer temperatures and blooming flowers signaling the start of the season.

For those looking to fully experience it, the city offers a variety of walking spots that highlight both nature and local character.

Among the most popular is Yeonji Park, widely considered the starting point of spring in Gimhae. During the season, cherry blossoms and tulips fill the park, while evening lighting adds a different atmosphere after sunset. From here, visitors can follow the stream toward the nearby Royal Tomb of King Suro, creating an easy, flat route that blends history with nature.

The Haebancheon Stream Trail offers a quieter experience. Running along the water, the path is ideal for reflective walks, with separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians. As the trail extends downstream, the environment becomes more natural, with wildlife and soft spring greenery enhancing the scenery, especially at sunset.

For a more vibrant atmosphere, the area around Gaya Land and Gaya Theme Park becomes one of the city’s most lively cherry blossom spots. The mix of amusement park energy and seasonal blooms creates a festive setting, though quieter walks are better found on nearby roads and trails.

Nature-focused visitors often head to Hwapocheon Wetland, where rice fields, wetlands, and migratory birds shape a calmer landscape. Rather than colorful blossoms, this area offers a more subdued spring experience, defined by the sounds of water and wildlife.

For those seeking a bit more activity, the Bunsungsan Trail provides light hiking with views over the city. The recently reopened loess path in the ecological forest adds a unique tactile element to the walk.

Finally, the Yulhacheon Stream Trail stands out for its seasonal variety. With cherry blossoms, canola flowers, and wildflowers lining the water, it offers an open, breezy setting that changes throughout the day—from bright afternoons to calm evenings. Nearby cafés make it an easy place to extend a simple walk into a longer outing.

Together, these routes show the range of ways to experience spring in Gimhae, from lively blossom spots to quiet natural retreats.
