Goseong County will officially kick off its 2026 regional festival season with the Sogaya Tea Culture Festival on June 7 at the Guman-myeon Rural Center Vitality Center.

The county plans to host five locally organized festivals from June through July, highlighting Goseong’s natural scenery, traditional culture and seasonal specialties through a variety of community-driven programs.

Opening the season, the Sogaya Tea Culture Festival will feature tea utensil experiences, traditional tea snacks and cultural performances centered on Korean tea culture.

From June 12 to July 12, the Sang-ri Firefly and Lotus Festival will take place at Sang-ri Lotus Park and surrounding areas. Special firefly viewing events on June 12 and 13 will allow visitors to experience the nighttime scenery alongside blooming lotus flowers.

Also beginning June 12, the Manhwabangcho Hydrangea Festival in Georyu-myeon will showcase colorful hydrangea gardens along with artistic performances.

The Hamo Hamo Festival follows on June 20 in Samsan-myeon, featuring tastings of hamo, or pike conger eel, one of Goseong’s signature summer seafood dishes, alongside local food and cultural performances.

The festival season concludes July 4–5 with the Goseong Corn Jjondalgoh Festival near the Eom Hong-gil Exhibition Hall in Georyu-myeon. The family-friendly event will include sweet corn tastings, local specialty markets and hands-on activities such as face painting.
