Busan will extend its Gwangan Bridge toll discount to households with two children starting May 15, offering a 50% reduction. Families with three or more children will continue to receive full exemptions.
Previously limited to larger families, the policy now expands eligibility to around 120,000 additional households. Under the new system, tolls for eligible two-child families will be reduced from 1,000 won to 500 won, or 400 won for vehicles registered with Hi-Pass.
To receive the discount, eligible families must visit a local administrative welfare center to obtain a family vehicle sticker, along with a multi-child family card. Vehicles must then be registered in advance through the Gwangan Bridge website.
The policy applies to non-commercial vehicles, including passenger cars, small vans and light trucks. Some leased or rented vehicles may qualify if registered under a household member’s name.
Once registered, the discounted toll will be automatically applied when using the bridge.
