The Gyeongju Daereungwon Stone Wall Road Festival will return from March 27 to March 29, bringing spring events and cherry blossom viewing to one of the city’s most scenic historic areas.

The festival will take place along the stone wall path surrounding Daereungwon, an area known for its ancient tombs and tree lined streets that fill with cherry blossoms each spring.

Events will run daily from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., offering visitors a mix of cultural programs, evening light displays, and outdoor markets.

Organizers say the festival is designed to provide a more relaxed cherry blossom experience compared with larger, more crowded spring events. Visitors can stroll along the blossom lined road while enjoying street performances, art installations, and illuminated cherry blossom displays at night.

Several themed areas will also be set up along the route. The “Stone Wall Road Market” will feature small vendors and food stalls, while a festival restaurant zone will offer snacks and casual meals from food trucks and local vendors.

The festival program also emphasizes eco friendly practices and quiet viewing areas for visitors who prefer to enjoy the blossoms in a calmer atmosphere.

Held during the peak blooming season, the Gyeongju Daereungwon Stone Wall Road Festival has become one of the city’s signature spring events, drawing visitors who want to combine cherry blossom viewing with the historic scenery of one of Korea’s most famous heritage cities.

The schedule may be adjusted by about one week depending on the actual timing of the cherry blossom bloom.
