Gyeongnam province will hold the 22nd Gyeongnam Craft Fair for ten days from October 17 to 26 at the Samcheonpo Bridge Park Special Event Hall in Sacheon.
This year’s event, themed “Visit Sacheon Year, with Gyeongnam Crafts,” will feature over 60 outstanding craft companies from across the province, showcasing ceramics, lacquerware, textiles, metalworks, and hanji (Korean paper) crafts. The opening ceremony will take place on October 17 at 3 pm, marking the start of an exhibition filled with artistic displays and side events.
Throughout the festival, exhibition and sales booths will operate daily from 10 am to 6 pm, offering visitors a wide range of high-quality handmade crafts.
A free hands-on experience zone will allow participants to create items such as bag keychains, knot bracelets, and accessories alongside local artisans. More than 20 activities will be available, all at no cost.
The production demonstration area will feature live presentations by master craftsmen, including pottery wheel demonstrations and large-scale ceramic works, giving visitors a rare opportunity to witness the creative process firsthand.
An exhibition zone will also display works by Gyeongsangnam-do’s cultural heritage holders, master artisans, and award-winning artists, celebrating the depth and diversity of the province’s craftsmanship.
The event is free and open to the public, with more information available on the Gyeongsangnam-do website.
