The Geoje Island Flower Festival has been selected as a Gyeongsangnam-do designated Cultural Tourism Festival under the province’s 2026 Regional Festival Support Program, securing 50 million won in provincial funding each year for the next two years.
First launched in 2006, the festival marks its 20th anniversary this year and has become one of Geoje’s signature annual events.
It was previously recognized as a Gyeongnam representative cultural tourism festival for six consecutive years starting in 2017, and the latest designation reaffirms its status as one of the province’s leading festivals.
The 20th Geoje Island Flower Festival will take place October 31 to November 8 at the Geoje Agricultural Technology Center, running for nine days.
Visitors can expect large-scale autumn flower displays along with a variety of cultural programs, including a reenactment of the historic arrival procession of the Geoje county magistrate, as well as exhibitions and performances by local artists.
