Gyeongnam province has unveiled its “August Gyeongnam Pick” list, highlighting seven destinations and experiences that showcase the region’s summer attractions, from beaches and festivals to food and outdoor activities.

The selections include Yongchu Valley in Hamyang, the Miryang Super Festival, Tongyeong Dajji dining, Jinju Fortress Media Art, Gimhae Nakdong River Rail Park, Sancheong Gyeongho River sweetfish fishing, and the National Marine Sports Festival in Geoje.

Several of the featured events take place only in August.

The Miryang Super Festival runs from August 7 to 9, offering water slides, water games, and evening EDM parties.

The 2026 National Heritage Media Art Jinju Fortress exhibition will illuminate Jinju Fortress and the surrounding historic park from August 14 to September 6, while the National Marine Sports Festival will be held in Geoje from August 27 to 30, featuring sailing, triathlons, fin swimming, and a variety of marine recreation activities.

The list also highlights Tongyeong’s traditional dajji seafood dining culture and scenic attractions that combine nature, outdoor recreation, and local cuisine for summer travelers.
