Gyeongnam province has unveiled its “June Gyeongnam Pick,” a monthly selection of destinations and local specialties designed to showcase the region’s unique attractions during the early summer season.
The monthly campaign highlights notable travel spots, seasonal foods, and cultural experiences across the province. This month’s selections include Hamyang onions, known for their sweetness and rich flavor; Miryang’s Chodong Yeonga-gil, a scenic walking route lined with blooming flowers; Namhae garlic, prized for its aroma and quality; the Jinju Garden Expo at Wola Mountain Forest; and Changnyeong’s Santokki Bapsang, a rural dining destination created from a renovated countryside home.
Several local festivals will also take place alongside this month’s featured attractions.
The 21st Namhae Garlic and Korean Beef Festival will be held from June 11 to 14 at the Namhae Exile Literature Museum area, while the Hydrangea Festival at Wola Mountain Forest in Jinju will run from June 18 to 28, offering visitors floral displays, cultural performances, and hands-on activities.
The province plans to promote the June selections through videos and content shared on its official YouTube channel and social media platforms throughout the month.
