Gyeongnam province has introduced a new monthly content series, “Monthly Gyeongnam Pick,” aimed at showcasing the region’s tourism and cultural highlights in line with changing travel trends.
The initiative selects themed recommendations each month, ranging from local food and specialties to attractions and island destinations.
The program draws on suggestions from local governments and related organizations, with selections based on seasonality, uniqueness and current interest.
Content will be distributed through digital formats such as short videos, blog posts and social media updates to reach a wider audience.
The first edition, “May Gyeongnam Pick,” features a mix of food and travel spots across the region.
Selections include Changwon mideodeok, a seasonal seafood delicacy; Geoje Jungle Bread made with locally grown ingredients; Tongyeong’s Park Kyung-ri Memorial Hall, recently reopened with updated exhibits; Hamyang Daebongsan Recreation Valley, known for its outdoor activities; and Geoje’s Isudo Island, recognized for its overnight dining experience.
The province plans to continue the series throughout the year, highlighting different aspects of Gyeongnam each month.
