Gyeongnam province is rolling out a spring accommodation discount program aimed at encouraging longer visits across the region, as part of the 2026 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa (Spring Edition).
The initiative is jointly organized by the Korea Tourism Organization and the Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation.
Discount vouchers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis through major online travel platforms from April 8 to April 30, starting at 10 a.m. Each user can claim one voucher, which must be used within the same period.
This year introduces a new incentive targeting multi-night stays. Travelers booking one night can receive discounts of 20,000 to 30,000 won depending on the room rate, while those staying two nights or more can receive up to 70,000 won off accommodation costs. The structure is designed to shift demand toward longer, stay-based travel rather than short visits.
The discounts apply only to officially registered accommodation providers participating in the program. Full details, including participating booking platforms and usage guidelines, are available on the official event website.
Additional local promotions are also being offered. In Yangsan, which is marking its “Year of Visiting Yangsan,” travelers can receive extra discounts through domestic booking platforms, increasing total savings per night. Other cities and counties across Gyeongnam are introducing linked events, including discounted admission to major attractions and social media-based participation campaigns.
The broader goal is to distribute tourism demand more evenly across the region while encouraging visitors to spend more time exploring local destinations during the spring travel season.
The discounts apply only to officially registered accommodation providers participating in the program. Full details, including participating booking platforms and usage guidelines, can be found on the official event site: 2026 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa (Spring Edition)
