The Hadong Bukcheon Poppy Festival will take place from May 15 to 25 in the fields of Jikjeon Village, Bukcheon-myeon, marking its 12th edition.

The festival is centered around a large flower field spanning an area comparable to 21 soccer fields. More than 100 million flowers, including red poppies, cornflowers, rapeseed, and baby’s breath, create a wide landscape of mixed colors across the site.

Visitors can walk through themed areas such as a tunnel lined with unusual gourds, curated flower gardens, and a lawn park designed for rest. A bonsai azalea exhibition will also be held, offering a contrast between cultivated forms and the surrounding wildflower fields.

Additional programs include a temporary adoption center for abandoned dogs, along with hands-on activities such as floral dyeing and temporary tattoo experiences inspired by the poppy theme.

Nearby attractions include the Bukcheon rail bike and the newly developed Hadong Narim Ecological Park, located on a former school site.
