The Dae Island Paradise Water Park in Hadong has opened for the summer season and will operate through August 17, offering visitors a seaside destination with water attractions and outdoor activities.
The water park features three pools, including a main pool and children’s pool, along with giant and standard water slides, mini slides, shower facilities, and shaded rest areas.
Visitors can also enjoy camping, mudflat experiences, and sea fishing operated by the Dae Island Fishing Village Experience Center.
The island’s shallow tidal flats are known for shellfish and other marine life, making them suitable for family-friendly nature activities.
Located about 4 km from Noryang Port near the Noryang Bridge, Dae Island is accessible by ferry in approximately 20 minutes, with six round-trip sailings daily. Admission costs 20,000 won for adults and 18,000 won for children.
Dae Island is also known for its historical significance as the site of the Battle of Noryang, Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s final naval battle during the Imjin War.
The inhabited island and its six surrounding islets are also noted for offering views of both the sunrise and sunset.
