The Haeundae Light Festival makes a grand comeback for the 2025 winter season, illuminating the beach and Gunam-ro from November 29 to January 18.
Now in its twelfth edition, the festival once again transforms Haeundae into a warm and romantic winter destination, drawing visitors with large-scale installations and nightly light displays.
This year’s theme, Stellar Haeundae: Waves of Stars, covers the beach with glowing sculptures, media-art pieces, and interactive programs running daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. All light installations remain on until 11 p.m.
The opening evening features a performance, an official lighting ceremony, and a five-minute fireworks show over the coast. Vocalist DK from December continues the celebration with a special live stage.
Although fireworks are confirmed, no drone show is listed in the official program. Additional surprise events may be added depending on conditions.
As one of Busan’s major winter attractions, traffic congestion around Gunam-ro and the beach is expected.
Visitors using cars should check nearby paid parking options, including Haeundae Plaza, Dongbaek Park, Haeundae Station, and the Busan Mechanical Engineering High School lot.
The festival area is also close to winter sightseeing spots like Dongbaekseom and Nurimaru, making it an ideal seasonal outing.
