  • 30,000 slots for the triathlon competitions will be available on a first-come, first-served basis via the Naver Reservation page starting at 2 PM on March 31 (Tue).

  • Seoul recommends that interested citizens register promptly, as weekend morning slots are expected to fill up quickly.

  • For the convenience of foreign tourists and visitors, tickets can be booked via global tourism platforms such as Klook and Alipay.

  • A new intermediate course has been added to the existing courses, reflecting feedback from previous participants. This will allow participants to choose courses that better match their fitness levels.

  • Seoul expects that the festival will contribute to the widespread practice of “physical activity at one’s own pace in everyday life” across the city.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will begin participant registration for the 3rd MY PACE Hangang Triathlon Festival at 2 PM on March 31 (Tue). The festival will be held from June 5 (Fri) to June 7 (Sun) at Ttukseom Hangang Park, with a total of 30,000 slots available.

Interested citizens can sign up for the event via the Naver Registration page. The participation fee is KRW 30,000. Applicants can choose their preferred dates and time slots. The first session runs from 9 AM to 11 AM, and the second session runs from 1 PM to 5 PM.

International residents and tourists can also conveniently purchase tickets through global tourism platforms, including Klook, Trazy, and Alipay+. For this year’s triathlon festival, Seoul has introduced foreigner-friendly booking channels and adopted various payment methods to further position the event as an international physical activity and wellness festival. It is therefore expected that a more diverse group of people from around the world will be able to enjoy the festival and the charms of the Hangang River.

In particular, an intermediate course has been added to this year’s triathlon festival in response to feedback from previous participants over the past two years. Participants can choose from three courses – beginner, intermediate, and advanced – based on their fitness levels.

Moreover, the SMG has introduced a swimming competition exclusively for people with disabilities to further promote Seoul’s “Companionship with the Vulnerable” value. During the festival, an information booth designated for people with disabilities will be operated to ensure a safe and convenient experience.

In its third year, MY PACE Hangang Triathlon Festival is a citizen-participation-centered program where participants enjoy swimming, cycling, and running at their own comfort level and take in the Hangang River.

The courses have been designed to be inclusive of both beginners unfamiliar with the activities and sports enthusiasts. The new intermediate course added this year will allow more participants to experience the pleasure of completing it.

The swimming competition consists of 200m, 300m, 500m, and 1km courses. Participants may use any equipment, such as swim fins, rubber rings, and life vests.

The cycling competition consists of 10km, 15km, and 20km courses. For the advanced course, a Zero-Stop route has been designed to help participants transition from swimming to cycling without delay. For the purpose of safe operation, participants are advised to use Seoul’s public bikes, Ttareungi. About 2,600 public bikes will be deployed at the event.

Lastly, the running competition consists of 5km, 7km, and 10km courses. For the advanced course, participants can begin running immediately at the end of the 1-kilometer swimming course.

The SMG will offer a variety of activities and experiential programs for those who do not take part in the triathlon. These include the Mobile Physical Fitness Assessment Ground and the Sium Sium Dano Festival (Korean traditional holiday), among others.
