Jinju City has completed the construction of the “Jinyang Lake Sunset Trail,” a new walking route that includes a barrier-free deck road designed to make the city’s signature lake park accessible to everyone including persons with disabilities and those with limited mobility.
To celebrate the completion, the city will hold a commemorative walking event on November 24 starting from the Wuyakjeong parking lot at Jinyang Lake Park.
The project, launched in July 2023, created a 2,159-meter scenic trail that begins at Acheon Book Café and passes through the water intake station, Madang Rock, and Samrakwon’s rear woodland path.
Rest areas and viewing platforms have been installed along the route, allowing visitors to enjoy the sunset and lake views in comfort.
The new trail features both a general route and a barrier-free course, allowing all visitors to enjoy the lakeside environment safely and comfortably. During the opening event, participants including members of local disability associations and health committees will walk a 6 km route around the park, celebrating inclusion and community spirit.
