An international esports competition is set to take place in Jinju, bringing together players and fans from across Asia.

The city announced that the ECA 2026 (Asia Esports Competition) will be held from April 24 to 26 at the Jinju Indoor Gymnasium. The three-day event aims to combine the energy of esports with local cultural elements under the theme of a K-culture festival.

Teams from seven countries—South Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Mongolia—are expected to compete. The tournament will focus on titles that are part of major international competitions, highlighting both the competitive and commercial strength of esports on the global stage.

Official game titles include PUBG Mobile, eFootball, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, The King of Fighters XV, and Eternal Return. In addition, an AI-based K-pop dance platform, Stepin, will be featured as a special event category.
